Empowering homeless women and their children to achieve permanent, independent living.

Kitchen Conversations

Kitchen Conversations

For generations, families have solved their problems around the kitchen table. Now, we need YOU to take a seat at our table. There are more than 600,000 people who are homeless each night in the United States. The Lake County Haven provides shelter and life-saving services to help local women and children transition from homelessness to independent living. Our goal is that our residents will never be homeless again.

Making a Difference

Lake County Haven Kitchen Conversations

Kitchen Conversations are small gatherings at our main shelter in Libertyville. Learn about homelessness: what causes it and what can end it. Then, sit with us around the kitchen table as we discuss pressing issues affecting local homeless women and children. Join the discussion of how to end homelessness in our lifetime. Your book club, workplace and other groups are welcome to schedule a special session as well.
